Jancis Robinson: Post & Vine Reviews - 2019 Contra Costa Carignane, 2020 Mule Plane Carignane, 2021 Rosé of Carignane
Review: Post & Vine 2019 Contra Costa Carignane
Deep purplish crimson. Very meaty nose and admirably gentle, ripe palate without the sometimes-acrid acidity associated with some Carignan wines. This is beautifully balanced and is at a lovely point for drinking now. Very clean, fresh, remarkably long finish. Lovely purity.

Pale crimson. Sweet and fresh on the nose with masses of Carignan acidity. Fun wine-bar wine. Not too serious but very refreshing. This would be happy to be served at a wide range of temperatures, I suspect. Minimal tannin. Just the sort of red to drink without food.
Review: Post & Vine 2021 Rosé of Carignane
Pale tomatoey pink. Quite a serious rosé with an intense nose not unlike a sun-warmed tomato, a long, dry finish and some orange flavours. Good acidity, for which 'cool afternoon breezes' are credited. I wonder whether this might have been even more compellingly fruity last year?
